To ensure that your inquiry is attended to appropriately, please contact the correct department. The Humane Society of Central Texas and the City of Waco Animal Shelter are 2 different entities residing on the same campus. The Humane Society of Central Texas only handles adoption, foster, rescue, volunteer, donations, and processing payments. If you have a legal issue or need to reclaim your lost pet, please read the contact list below carefully.

City of Waco - Animal Control

Animal Care Officers work 8 a.m. until 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. They are on-call for emergencies after normal business hours. If you have an emergency, please call 911.

SpayStreet Waco is a volunteer effort with members of the community in partnership with Animal Control and the Animal Shelter to spread the word about the Spay/Neuter and Microchip law that went into effect January 1, 2014.
